Cooking Classes FAQ

What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

Our Cooking Classes are small, so unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds. Please contact us if you need to cancel and we will do our best to fill your spot from the waiting list. If we are able to fill your spot, we will happily re-book you for another class or a later date. We would also encourage you to offer your place to a friend! We will do whatever we can to make things work for you, although more notice is better than less.

What is the class format?

In our Cooking Classes, the 8-16 participants are standing around 4 benches with the chef demonstrating at the kitchen workbench placed at the front.  In this intimate environment, the chef will take you through in detail, the preparation of each of the recipes, breaking down the essential techniques and teaching you about the ingredients used and where to source them. All the food created is served to the participants so you can understand, and discuss with the chef, how the techniques and ingredients have contributed to the elements of the final dish. Our classes are a part demonstration, part hands-on format.

What if I have dietary requirements?

We are happy to advise the chef if you have any dietary requirements however, we cannot guarantee that the chef will be able to cater for these changes. In some cases, it may be easy for the chef to create a separate serving without a particular ingredient, however if the ingredient is integral to the recipe it may be that no alternative can be offered, and you will have to elect to not eat that particular dish. If this is the case our chefs will be more than happy to offer advice and suggestions for creating the dish at home using alternative ingredients.
